In-App Instructions

As an Argo boater you already know that Argo is the easiest way to create safe and fast routes, and we’re hoping this new campaign will help you take advantage of the many other amazing features in the app!

Here are additional instructions to help you participate and earn reward points in the contest.

Add Affiliations to Profile – 20 Points
Adding affiliations to your boat profile, such as a marina or yacht club, is a great way for other boaters you may know to find you in the app. We want to make sure that you are only entering affiliations that are relevant to you, so you only need to enter one affiliation to earn 20 points.

To add an affiliation, go to Settings, My Profile and select Edit Affiliations

Add Reviews on Existing Places in App – 20 Points each
Let other boaters know your opinion about local marinas, restaurants, dock bars, and more! Adding Reviews in the app is a great way to rack up some reward points. We’ll give you 10 points for each review submitted in the app.

To submit a review, tap on a place in the app (such as a marina or restaurant), write a review and rate the place.

Add Hazard, Map Issue or Local Advice pins to the main map – 10 Points each

Creating Report Pins will help other boaters get the most up-to-date information about boating hazards, local advice, map issues and more. Each Report Pin you add will earn 5 points. Note this applies ONLY to verified hazards, map issues, or local advice pins.

To add pins, select the Report Pin  icon from the main map and drop the appropriate pin in the desired location.

Add Comments or Thumbs Up/Down on Hazard, Map Issue or Local Advice pins in your area – 10 points each
During this contest you’ll likely see more pins on the map. This is a great opportunity to tap into the power of crowdsourcing by adding your comments or thumbs up/down. Each time you react to a hazard, map issue or local advice pin you’ll earn 5 points!

To add comments or thumbs up/down on pins, tap on the pin on the map and enter your comment or thumbs up/down. Note that other boaters will be able to see your comments.

Add No Wake Zone markers (start and end) to the main map – 20 points per zone (this feature is coming soon)
Adding markers for the start and end of No Wake Zones is an important step toward updating our charts, not only to make boaters aware of these areas, but to improve our ETA calculations. We recently added a new Navigation Pin to mark the start and end of No Wake Zones that includes any speed limit (if applicable).

To add no wake zone markers, tap on the Report Pin  icon from the main map and select the “No Wake Zone” marker. You can also press and hold any location on the map and then select the pin icon. Drop the marker in the desired location. Note the start and end as you move through the area and note the speed limit (if available).

If you need help or have any questions, be sure to reach out to us at support@argonav.io.

Have fun boating & good luck with our Dog Days of Summer 2023 Contest!
