Known for his hands-on boat repair advice and expert boating tips, Wayne has earned the loyalty of both seasoned captains and first-time boaters. Based on Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay, he’s passionate about life on the water and helping others navigate it safely. Argo: How did you get into the world of boating, YouTube and social media?
Wayne the Boat Guy: I only started boating in 2018. As I was struggling to learn all there is to know, I found a shortage of useful information for newer boaters and that started me on my YouTube journey at the same time!
Argo: When did you first learn about Argo and where do you typically use the app?
WBG: I discovered Argo in the summer of 2020 while researching practical and simple navigation options. I typically use the app in the Chesapeake Bay but plan to be boating in some other waters next year!
A: How has Argo enhanced your boating experience? What is your favorite feature?
WBG: I love being able to estimate travel time for proposed destinations. When my wife and I are discussing where to go, Argo quickly tells me how long it will take to get there based on our typical speed of travel.

A: What is your favorite story of using Argo?
WBG: I was testing a new electric outboard motor on a small boat and used Argo to easily log trip duration, distance traveled, and average speed.
A: Do you have any upcoming excursions planned? Are there any Argo features you will use to plan your journey?
WBG: I’m planning to do more small motor testing using the “Track” features.
