Jumpstart Your Spring Boat Trips With 3 New Argo Settings
Are you as excited as we are to get the spring boating season underway? Whether you’re looking to get an early start on planning trips for the season or need to plan your cruise up the coast to head back north, we’ve got 3 new Argo settings to help you out!
The Argo development team has been busy this winter working on lots of added features in the app, and this week we’d like to highlight some of the new settings that will make it easier for trip planning this time of year.
New App Settings for Trip Planning
Location on Map, Starting Point & Route Settings
We’ve added a few small but significant app settings that will make creating routes even easier!
Set Initial Map Location
If you’re planning your trips from a location other than at your boat, you may prefer the map to open at a different location (marina, yacht club, boat ramp, etc.).
To set your initial map location, go to Settings > User Location Settings and then select “Initial Map Location” to set a custom map location when opening the app.
Lock Starting Point
When creating a route, you can now easily lock your starting location – like your home marina or favorite boat ramp – so that its always the same when planning your routes.
To lock a starting point, tap the small lock next to the starting point to lock in the location.
Want to change the starting point next time? Simply tap the lock again to unlock the starting point location.
Route Settings for Autoroutes
Our snowbird friends cruising back north up the ICW will appreciate new route settings for our autorouting mode.
Choose whether you want the autoroute to take the shortest route, inside (via ICW) or outside (in the ocean).
To change your settings, go to Settings > Route Settings and then toggle to the autoroute mode you prefer for your route. You can also change the route setting when creating a route by tapping on the Route Setting icon on the right side of the screen.
Happy boating! We’re looking forward to hearing about your adventures with Argo in 2024. For more features and full tutorials, visit our App Features page.
