• Sean Welsh at the Helm

Sean Welsh lives aboard his 55′ steel hull trawler-style motor yacht with his wife, Louise. Together they have traveled some 57,000 nautical miles in 13 years of full-time cruising. He has piloted every single mile of the Intracoastal Waterway from its start in Portsmouth, Virginia, to its terminus in Brownsville, Texas, with numerous trips both north and south on the Atlantic ICW portion, where he is a surveyor for the popular “Bob423” track library. Other travels have encompassed New England all the way to the Canadian border, America’s Great Loop, the  Down East Loop through eastern Canada, and most of the Lower Mississippi River, along with excursions through the Bahamas and Turks & Caicos Islands. He holds a USCG 100-ton Master license, has been aground more than once, and wishes that Aquamap Master and Navionics Sonar Charts had been available on his first ICW cruise in 2013.
